Ponchatoula man arrested in child porn investigation

PONCHATOULA, La. (WGNO) — A Ponchatoula man has been arrested following a child pornography investigation by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

According to the TPSO, investigators were alerted that a child sexual assault material image was used to perform a reverse image search on a popular search engine in an attempt to find similar images.

After tracking the IP of the search back to an address in Ponchatoula, a search warrant was executed where 73-year-old Arthur Palmisano was found to be the alleged source of the image and was arrested.

A search of Palmisano’s devices reportedly yielded the discovery of dozens of child sexual assault material files. He faces 60 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
