Central Arkansas VA breaks ground on new Mountain Home clinic

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System broke ground today on a new VA clinic that will be located at 199 West End Way in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The new clinic will replace its old clinic and will offer enhanced/expanded clinical services and capabilities, some of which have not been available to Veterans of the area. The new clinic will provide a larger and more modern environment for both Veterans and staff alike.

The clinic will stand at approximately 17,000 square feet and will support health services like Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Diagnostic Imaging. It will also provide support functions that will offer a more complete care experience.

Dr. Michael Moore was appointed Medical Center Director in 2024 and mentioned holding Town Halls in Mountain Home every year since he began his current role.

“Early on in the process, it was important that we be face-to-face with Veterans of the area, hearing their feedback at the town halls and also expressing our mutual interest in providing expanded clinical services,” said Moore. “Today has been a long time coming, and I know that both Veterans and our staff are excited to begin construction.”

The new clinic will help reduce travel burdens, enhance continuity of care, and strengthen timely access for the Veteran community in Mountain Home and surrounding areas.
