Techex said it will use IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Sept. 11-14, to showcase new integrations and expanded live-production tools for its software-defined media platform, tx darwin, including native MXL and TAMS support.

The company said the updates are aimed at broadcasters building live video workflows in the cloud, where production, distribution and monetization are increasingly managed in software rather than through fixed hardware.

Techex said it will run several live MXL demonstrations with ecosystem partners at Stand 2.B45, highlighting open, multi-vendor production workflows.

Scott Kewley, Techex chief executive, said the company is showing its broadest live capability set to date and that the tools are designed to help broadcasters do more with less risk.

For live sports, Techex said tx darwin and tx edge together support full-bandwidth JPEG XS contribution over protocols such as SRT, allowing low-latency production in the cloud without sacrificing quality.

The company said its Consumer Multiview tool lets broadcasters offer multiple parallel live events through their own platforms, which it said can deepen engagement and reduce subscriber churn.

Techex also said its enhanced cloud master control room and live event management workflows now support Dolby audio, subtitle insertion, HDR and a broader set of encoding modules.

The company said those workflows can be scaled up on demand for the length of an event, which it said can help maximize ad revenue while controlling compute costs.

At the show, Techex said it will preview AI-driven ad break insertion with partners, using automated detection and placement of ad breaks.

The native MXL inputs, outputs and service discovery, Techex said, will bring its uncompressed processing tools, including resolution scaling, deinterlacing, HDR and SDR conversion, HTML5 graphics keying and audio handling, into multi-vendor cloud production.

The company also said native TAMS integration will give broadcasters vendor-agnostic access to production content without reworking existing systems.
