Mo-Sys, a developer of virtual production, camera robotics and image tracking technology, has completed a business restructuring, promoted Selin Kemal to managing director and moved into a new headquarters in London’s Canada Water district that includes a hybrid presentation theatre for corporate productions and live events.
The company said the new site is designed as both an office and a demonstration space, with room for up to 120 delegates and production capabilities that include immersive LED walls, extended projection, augmented reality processing, multi-camera broadcast production and high-capacity livestreaming.
Company founder Michael Geissler remains chief executive while Kemal takes on the managing director role.
Geissler said the move supports Mo-Sys’ long-term focus on virtual production, camera robotics and image tracking technology while also creating a new environment for corporate communications work.
“Mo-Sys technology has made a huge impact in television and film production, and that will continue to be our major focus,” said Michael Geissler, Mo-Sys CEO. “What we are demonstrating in our new communications center is that the same systems also have a key role to play in the corporate world, delivering high production values for launches, investor presentations and town halls, within a protected and confidential space.”
The three-story building also houses product development, engineering and administrative space, along with green rooms and a roof terrace.
Mo-Sys said the presentation theatre will also be used as a lab to test new concepts. The first major event scheduled for the space is a TEDx event in October, with about 120 guests expected on site and a global stream planned.
Kemal said the company will keep building on its work in film, broadcast, live events and corporate communication.
