DHD Audio will mark its 30th anniversary at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Sept. 11-14, with a new third-generation audio mixing console and a slate of updated software and control tools aimed at broadcasters and audio engineers.
The company said the new console, set to debut worldwide at Stand 8.B46, keeps the modular approach that has long defined DHD systems while adding more flexibility for operators. DHD said the new control surface is fully compatible with its third-generation signal processing cores, giving current system owners a path to upgrade existing facilities.
DHD also will show version 10.4 firmware for its DX2, RX2, SX2 and TX2 mixers, along with its XC3, XD3 and XS3 IP cores. The company said the update adds Flex Channels for routing from a preassigned input list, Channel Categories for faster navigation, Mic Preamp Control through the console touchscreen or app, and improved audio-over-IP timing with PTP logging enhancements using Syslog.
The company said its new Routing App will make its IBC debut. The app provides local or remote control of a processing core’s input and output channel configuration and can display crosspoint matrices graphically. DHD said users can save matrices as presets for quicker recall.
DHD also is showing its Control API, which gives access to AES67 and Ravenna interfaces within a DHD system. The company said the API is a license-free alternative to NMOS and Ember+ and includes access-token and TLS/HTTPS security.
Another new tool, Discovery, is a tray app that shows DHD devices as soon as they come online, including cores, RM1 broadcast-from-anywhere interfaces and audio-over-IP devices connected through AES67, Ravenna or Dante.
DHD said a prelaunch version of DHD MIDI also will be demonstrated, allowing MIDI-based or MCU-based control of DAWs and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere from DHD hardware.
The company said it will also show AI-based audio noise reduction developed with ai-acoustics. The feature is designed to preserve a speaker’s natural voice while reducing background noise in sports commentary and outdoor news reporting.
