By RSSFeeds Administrator Telefónica’s TSAmediaHUB audiovisual contribution and distribution infrastructure now includes a monitoring and multiviewer system from TAG Video Systems, integrated by Aicox, to help operators supervise hundreds of video, audio and data signals in real time.
The platform was built for large-scale audiovisual projects and high-demand environments, including sporting events, according to the company. It was recently recognized with the TM Broadcast 2026 Award for Best New Audiovisual Production Infrastructure.
Telefónica selected TAG Video Systems’ Core platform to provide real-time monitoring, analysis and visualization of broadcast and IP signals. The software is designed to monitor compressed and uncompressed signals at the same time, generate high-density multiviewer mosaics and trigger alerts when problems are detected in the transport or distribution chain.
At the center of the system is TAG’s Media Control System, or MCS, which gives operators a single interface to manage configuration, monitor system status, handle alarms and review details about any stream under supervision.
The system also includes quality control and analysis tools that let engineers inspect video, audio and metadata data when an alarm or anomaly appears. That can help teams find the source of a problem and respond with less disruption.
The architecture is built to connect with third-party automation, orchestration and monitoring systems through open APIs, allowing operators to correlate events from different vendors in one view.
Aicox said its role in the project included solution design, monitoring architecture definition and integration of TAG’s technology within Telefónica’s operational environment.
“Monitoring is no longer just a supervision tool; it has become a fundamental operational component. The objective is to provide operators with actionable real-time information that enables them to detect, analyze and resolve incidents as quickly as possible. The combination of TAG’s technology and Aicox’s integration expertise makes it possible to meet this challenge in large-scale audiovisual projects and major sports at control centres as important as TSAmediaHUB,” said Javier García, Aicox Broadcast & Media Department Manager.
