Panasonic Unveils Broadcast Innovation
Panasonic Image Adjust ProPanasonic Connect Europe has announced new broadcast tools aimed at improving live production content. These innovations will help content creators and production teams across imaging, automation, and workflow technology.

The updates feature new cameras, enhanced software for existing models, improved KAIROS control panels, and a new colour matching function in the Panasonic Image Adjust Pro Media Production Suite.

Global Shutter Technology Breakthrough

Panasonic introduced the AW-UE200 and AW-UER200 PTZ cameras, both featuring the industry’s first global shutter MOS sensors. Leveraging ultra-high-speed pan/tilt capabilities, these cameras can capture fast-moving objects without distortion. The 22x optical zoom delivers crisp visuals for large venues.

Both cameras work with LED walls while minimising flicker from stage lighting. The UER200 series includes a cutting-edge roll mechanism spanning -200° to +200°.  The cameras also support vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) video output using the full sensor. These features position the cameras for direct streaming to social media platforms.

André Meterian, Director of Professional Video Systems, Panasonic Europe, stated, “The UE200 and UER200 series demonstrate Panasonic’s continuous innovation as a leader in the PTZ market.

“They meet the increasing demand for greater usability, stunning 4K visuals, and seamless integration into existing production environments and workflows. The global shutter MOS sensor delivers precise reproduction and captures split-second movements, opening up new possibilities for operators to create immersive and dynamic visuals.

KAIROS Control Panel Expansion

Panasonic also launched two new KAIROS control panels for the IT/IP production platform. Complex, large-scale productions find management solutions. The control panels feature either 12 Buses/40 Crosspoint Buttons or 12 Buses/30 Crosspoint Buttons. Each touch panel delivers programmable buttons that provide instant access to snapshots, macros, and other frequently used functions.

These new panels simplify production, reducing operator fatigue and enabling smoother switching between views.

These panels will launch later: the AT-KP340 in Q2 2027 and the AT-KP330 in Q3 2027.

Automatic Colour Matching Software

Panasonic updated the Image Adjust Pro Media Production Suite plug-in with virtual remote-control panels and a new automated colour matching function. It has also added a new automated colour matching function.

The feature aligns colour matching across multiple cameras using a single reference camera. This maintains colour consistency when switching between multiple cameras. Setup is simple, eliminating the time and expertise previously required.

The colour matching feature works with Panasonic cameras using Image Adjust PRO (AW-SF600), and the reference camera doesn’t need to be a Panasonic model. The update is scheduled for Q4 2026, with future support planned for AW-UE200 and AW-UER200 cameras.

Advanced 4K Camera Colour Functions

The AK-UCX100 studio camera and the AK-UBX100 multi-purpose camera gain new colour tools. These features deliver desired colour expression for creators, simplifying colour matching between cameras for live events with LED walls, broadcast studios, and virtual productions. Panasonic announced three features:

  • The Color Temp. Blend function combines colour temperature data from LED walls and stage lighting to create optimal white balance for the shooting environment and align real-world subjects with LED wall footage.
  • Target Color Correction lets users select a specific colour and adjust its hue and saturation independently, enabling precise correction of corporate brand colours or sponsor logos on LED walls with support for up to three colour tables simultaneously.
  • Panasonic’s Chroma Suppression function preserves overall colour reproduction while reducing colour shift and saturation in highly saturated visuals, allowing operators to capture LED displays with vivid computer-generated imagery at live events like concerts while maintaining high-quality video output.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

With these updates, Panasonic strengthens its broadcast leadership position. New product launches demonstrate Panasonic’s continuous innovation. Global shutter technology differentiates the market, while the announcements reinforce Panasonic’s brand authority in ProAV.

Content creators gain workflow efficiency improvements, and operators reduce manual adjustment time and fatigue during long events. Production teams achieve consistent colour matching—critical where brand colours matter. Live event quality improves across venues while social media streaming gains better support.

Large-scale productions manage complexity more easily. Virtual production workflows streamline effectively. Pre-production setup time decreases substantially.

For Streaming Platforms, the vertical video output supports mobile audiences. Direct streaming from production cameras is made easier with high-quality output. The quality remains consistent across platforms even with fast-moving targets.

The announcements signal a mature market evolution. The Panasonic innovations focus on practical workflow improvements. In effect, users gain tools that save time and therefore money. Panasonic continues to push the boundaries of videography with the ability to deliver better quality video to audiences.
