Baxter Health adds nephrologist to Mountain Home clinic

Baxter Health has announced Dr. Esosa Ukponmwan has joined the Baxter Health Nephrology Clinic in Mountain Home.

Ukponmwan will begin seeing patients in early September and joins Dr. Grant Mathews, Joyce Stratmoen, APRN, and Meagan Thitoff, APRN, in providing kidney care for patients in north central Arkansas and southern Missouri.

Ukponmwan completed his nephrology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center and has experience treating patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions, including those receiving dialysis and undergoing kidney transplant care.

He previously completed his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University and holds a master’s degree in public health with a focus on epidemiology.

Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson says Ukponmwan’s clinical training, research background and service to underserved patients make him a valuable addition to the nephrology team.

Appointments with Ukponmwan at the Baxter Health Nephrology Clinic can be scheduled by calling 870-508-1950.
