By rssfeeds-admin A man who was paddleboarding with his daughter in northern Minnesota fell off and drowned on Ely Lake, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
When first responders arrived at the lake at around 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, the victim’s daughter told them that she pulled her father out of the water and toward shore before other people helped get him onto land and started CPR.
Despite efforts to provide aid, the 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to deputies, neither the man or his daughter were wearing a life jacket.
The victim’s name has not been released. An investigation is ongoing.
