IBC: Hiltron To Promote Next-Generation Satellite Systems

Hiltron Communications will showcase its latest satellite communication systems IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Sept. 11-14.

The Backnang, Germany-based manufacturer and systems integrator will demonstrate a 17-inch HACUX-IDU2 touchscreen option for its HCS4 system controller and HACU antenna control unit at Stand 1.A37. The 8U rack-mount touchscreen displays all HCS4 and HACU system parameters and allows operators to make adjustments without an external keyboard or pointing device.

Hiltron said the HCS4 modular system controller forms the central management and monitoring element for many earth station antenna systems. The controller’s modules support functions such as waveguide switching for LNBs, LNAs and high-power amplifiers, L-band switching, antenna heater control, power and band switching of LNBs, and equipment monitoring. Available modules include HCS4-Net, HCS4-SSI, HCS4-RES, HCS4-DCD, HCS4-PSD, HCS4-PSA, HCS4-DCU, HCS4-10M, HCS4-EXT, HCS4-SWI, HCS4-LST, HCS4-DBT and HCS4-L21.

The company will also display the HACU antenna control unit, a weatherproof outdoor cabinet designed to mount on or near motorized satellite antennas. The unit supports a variety of drive motors and position sensors and can be configured for de-ice control, LNB power sourcing and band switching, fiber-optic interfaces and discrete alarm outputs. The HACU can be operated from a connected handheld unit and includes an externally accessible emergency cut-off switch.

Hiltron will exhibit the HMAM-XY motorized antenna mount, designed for high-precision tracking of low- and medium-Earth orbit satellites. The mount supports prime-focus reflectors up to 2.5 meters in diameter for frequencies up to Ka-band and offers optional quick feed changes for multiband operation. Hiltron said the HMAM-XY delivers fast acceleration, high tracking velocity and accuracy for ground-sensing, telecommunications and security uses.

Hiltron was founded in 1979 and supplies tracking systems for fixed and mobile antennas.
