Rick’s Coffee Bar and Crema’s Coffee, both in Minneapolis, say they are victims of a robbery

Two coffee shops in Minneapolis said they were both robbed on Thursday night.

Rick’s Coffee Bar said the break-in happened Thursday night, when someone broke a window and stole all their cash. Rick’s said they are still open for business but will operate on a card-only system for the time being.

Crema’s Coffee said the break-in at their location also occurred on Thursday night. Crema sold their coffee and pastries outside of the business on Friday, but told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they were back to normal operations. The location also said they planned to close earlier than normal on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Minneapolis City Council Ward 12 member Aurin Chowdhury is encouraging residents to support both businesses in their time of need.
