Lawo Demonstrates Dynamic Media Facilities & Multi‑Vendor Interoperability

Lawo will demonstrate software‑based live production workflows and multi‑vendor interoperability at IBC2026, the company said, showing how broadcasters and production companies can shift processing and control dynamically across distributed facilities.

At Booth 8.B90, Lawo plans hands‑on displays of additions to its HOME management and orchestration platform, the European premiere of Edge One, new software releases for the mc² production console family and Power Core processing, and a live implementation of the company’s Dynamic Media Facility, or DMF, approach.

HOME and Dynamic Media Facility Lawo described HOME as a management and orchestration layer that handles device discovery, security, authentication and control across IP‑based media infrastructures. Paired with HOME Apps — server‑based processing microservices — the platform lets operators deploy, scale and reassign processing resources independently of dedicated hardware, the company said.

A central demonstration will show a working Dynamic Media Facility that reallocates processing resources across studios, central facilities, remote production sites and hybrid environments. Lawo said the DMF workflow is already in operational use at major international sports productions and delivers infrastructure cost savings.

Multi‑vendor interoperability Lawo said it will also highlight a technology collaboration with Grass Valley that validates orchestration, control and media exchange between Grass Valley AMPP and Lawo HOME. The companies said their work aligns with an open‑system approach and the European Broadcasting Union’s Dynamic Media Facility initiative.

“We will show how software‑defined production can increase operational agility, maximize infrastructure utilization and adapt resources dynamically to changing production demands,” the company said.
