VIDA Adds QC Manager To Embed Structured Quality Control In Media Workflows

VIDA, a cloud-native media platform for storing, managing, enriching and distributing media content, has introduced QC Manager, a new feature that centralizes quality-control review, feedback and approval inside its cloud-native media asset management platform, the company said.

As content volumes grow and production chains span multiple countries and partners, fragmented review processes can lead to lost feedback, stalled approvals and errors reaching distribution. VIDA said QC Manager aims to keep every quality check tied to the asset so teams and suppliers can see status, comments and version history in one place.

What VIDA will do

• Built into VIDA, QC Manager links issue logs, timestamped comments, approvals and version tracking directly to media assets, replacing disconnected spreadsheets, email threads and separate review tools.
• The feature provides shared review workflows for internal teams and external partners, exportable QC reports for governance and supplier accountability, and end-to-end traceability of quality-control decisions across the content lifecycle.
• Because QC Manager is native to VIDA, organizations do not need a separate quality-control system or additional integrations to include review in day-to-day operations.

VIDA said QC Manager lets users annotate precise issues with timestamped comments, track approvals across multiple asset revisions and export reports for compliance or supplier management. Every status change and comment is associated with the specific asset, creating an auditable record from intake through final approval.

“Quality control has always been one of the most fragmented parts of the media workflow, held together by spreadsheets and email threads rather than a single source of truth,” Symon Roue, VIDA managing director, said. “QC Manager brings review, feedback and approval directly into VIDA, making quality control a visible and traceable part of the content lifecycle.”
