Smoke from Canadian wildfires to move into the Twin Lakes area tonight

Smoke from recent Canadian wildfires will begin to impact visibility in the Twin Lakes area later Tuesday evening.

Forest fires have raged in Northern Ontario since last week with smoke impacting the Great Lakes and East Coast over the weekend.

KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News spoke with National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologist Charley Kelly who says the haze is making its way now across the plains.

Impacts to air quality will likely low according to the NWS with a light haze expected to be seen in the sky over the coming days.

Modeling from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows that the smoke will remain aloft across the region through at least late Thursday.
