Ozark County man seriously injured after swerving vehicle to miss animal

An Ozark County man was seriously injured after swerving his vehicle to miss an animal. The 45-year-old from Dora was airlifted to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with what the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) called serious injuries following the crash.

The MSHP does not release the names of those involved in motor vehicle or boating accidents.





According to the crash report, the accident happened when the man swerved to avoid the animal on the highway, his vehicle left the road and hit a utility pole.

The accident happened at 12:10 Monday morning on Missouri Route CC, five miles west of West Plains in Howell County.
