IBC: Glensound To Unveil Greater Divine Supernal Studio Monitor, Highlight 60th Anniversary

Glensound, a provider of audio products for broadcast, live events and esports, will highlight a major expansion of its intelligent loudspeaker range at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Sept. 11-14, introducing the Greater Divine Supernal studio monitor and showcasing updates to Dante interfacing, intercom systems and parliamentary audio as part of its 60th anniversary lineup.

The Greater Divine Supernal builds on Glensound’s Divine and Greater Divine models by adding an Embedded Module that brings 1‑gigabit networking, eight network inputs, USB‑C inputs, a headphone output and onboard EQ control. Glensound said the monitor is intended for professional studio monitoring and is scheduled to ship at the end of 2026.

The company will also show the DARK22M, a compact two‑in, two‑out Dante interface designed for low-channel-count workflows. The unit combines analog, USB and Dante audio. Each XLR input can be set independently for mic, 48‑volt phantom power or line level. The DARK22M adds bi-directional USB‑C to Dante connectivity and offers copper and fiber networking, redundancy and remote control for integration into larger Dante systems.

Glensound plans to demonstrate the Beatrice R12 MkII, a second‑generation intercom with multiple displays that show source and destination labels from Dante Controller. Each of the 12 channels includes a five‑way lever for talk, listen and incoming‑level control. The company said new audio dynamics in the R12 MkII help manage noise and feedback.

Central to Glensound’s IBC presentation is its Parliamentary Broadcast System, or PBS, a modular Dante‑based platform the company has developed over more than 35 years for debating chambers and committee rooms. Glensound said PBS combines clarity‑focused audio processing and distribution with voting, delegate management, camera control and logging to serve room audio as well as broadcast, recording and reinforcement feeds.

“Glensound has never stayed tied to one format or one market,” Marc Wilson, managing director of Glensound, said. “Over 60 years, we have worked across analogue, ISDN, mobile, IP, USB and Dante as the requirements of our users have changed. That willingness to adapt is probably the clearest thread through our history. The products on the stand at IBC are very different, but they all come from the same place. We listen to what people need and build around it.”

Glensound will mark its diamond anniversary on the stand with surprise giveaways and the GTM Diamond, a model encrusted with more than 4,000 hand‑placed Swarovski crystals. The company will be at Stand 8.F72.

Visitors are invited to join Wilson and the Glensound team for drinks on the stand at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13.
