LucidLink Integrates Adobe Frame.io With Enterprise Cloud Storage for Real‑Time Editing

LucidLink announced an enhanced integration with Adobe Frame.io that lets production teams access Frame.io projects and supporting media stored across multiple cloud services within a single LucidLink filespace.

The update, powered by LucidLink Connect, makes files kept in services such as Microsoft SharePoint, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box and Amazon S3 appear instantly to editors without migration, downloads or duplication, the company said. That lets editors work directly with Frame.io assets alongside B‑roll, audio, graphics and archives from other storage systems, creating what LucidLink describes as a Camera‑to‑Timeline workflow.

“Creative teams don’t work in a single application anymore,” Peter Thompson, LucidLink chief executive, said. He added the integration provides “an exceptional review and collaboration experience” while LucidLink supplies a persistent, tool‑agnostic storage layer.

LucidLink said the approach brings local, real‑time performance to assets outside Frame.io so other tools — including nonlinear editors, finishing systems, media asset managers and AI services — can use the same source files without exports, syncs or manual handoffs. The company said the integration aims to reduce egress costs, administrative overhead and duplicate file transfers by eliminating redundant file movement.

Key benefits LucidLink highlighted include immediate Camera‑to‑Timeline workflows where footage uploaded to Frame.io appears on an editor’s timeline without waiting for transfers; unified access to supporting assets across multiple cloud platforms; zero file duplication; and enterprise orchestration for IT teams to automate access and scale pipelines securely.

Thompson said the integration is not intended to force a single storage choice but to give customers flexibility to design workflows that match how teams work. He cited joint customers such as Brut, Casual and Minute Media as examples of organizations that have used both companies’ tools.

LucidLink said the integration targets a range of users, from studios and broadcasters delivering premium content to sports and live event producers, agencies and enterprise video teams that rely on hybrid or remote collaboration.
