The Brunner Hill Public Water Authority is seeking expressions of interest from customers interested in serving on its Board of Directors.
The authority, which provides water service to portions of Baxter, Fulton, and Izard counties, is looking for civic minded individuals committed to helping guide the future of the region’s public water system. The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the authority’s long term governance, including infrastructure planning, evaluating public financing opportunities, and ensuring the continued delivery of clean, reliable, and affordable water to homes and businesses.
Officials say applicants with experience in utility management, environmental policy, business management, or finance are encouraged to apply, although those with a strong commitment to public service and the community are also welcome.
Board members serve as public officials under Arkansas utility statutes and are appointed to three year terms. The board meets monthly on the third Tuesday at either 6:00 or 7:00 p.m., with meetings conducted in accordance with the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.
To be eligible, candidates must live within the authority’s service area, maintain an active Brunner Hill Public Water Authority account in their name, and be willing to meet participation requirements.
Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest and resume by September 15 to Brunner Hill Public Water Authority, Attn: Nomination Committee, 1145 Rodney Road, Jordan, Arkansas, 72519, or by email to brunnerhillwater1@gmail.com.
More information about the authority and its current water projects is available at www.brunnerhillwater.com.
