Sounds From the Black Hole to present experimental music show at Walkover Record Shop

BLOOMINGTON — Sounds From the Black Hole will present a night of experimental, ambient, drone and tape music June 19 at Walkover Record Shop in downtown Bloomington.

The all-ages show begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the record shop, 122 N. Walnut St. A $10 suggested donation will be accepted, but organizers said no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The lineup includes artists from Chattanooga, Indianapolis and Bloomington.

Slow Blink will perform ambient music based in tape loops, while fflesh will present soft noise and drone music. Wayne Robert Thomas, an Indianapolis-based artist, also will perform. Organizers describe Thomas’ compositions as music that “refract infinitely,” bending time through “endless Midwestern golden hours.”

The Black Hole Drone Ensemble, the Sounds From the Black Hole house band, also is scheduled to perform.
