Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Barger’s appointment evens the gender balance within the Epicor Senior Leadership, with four out of ten now women. In Barger, Epicor has found a leader with global experience, who should better understand some of the diverse cultures outside the US.
She is also fully aware of the market that Epicor operates in, with experience, notably at SAP, another ERP vendor and at UKG in the mid-market SaaS arena. Under Murphy, Epicor has honed its focus and, in recent months, is seeing an acceleration of customers moving to its cloud solutions. This transition was recently assisted with the extension of Ascend with Epicor at Epicor Insights.
Epicor is now potentially poised to turn from a position as farmer to hunter within the market. It will be interesting to see what growth strategies Barger develops.
