By rssfeeds-admin A 29-year-old Mountain Home man was arrested early Friday morning after Baxter County deputies were called twice to disturbances at a mobile home park along U.S. Highway 101 North.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were first dispatched to the location shortly before 9:35 Thursday night after reports of an altercation among several residents.
When officers arrived, they found multiple people outside arguing. Deputies spoke with those involved and instructed everyone to return to their residences and avoid further contact with one another.
Just after midnight, law enforcement was called back to the same location after receiving a report of another disturbance involving a juvenile.
According to the affidavit, witnesses told deputies that Eddie Dean Brown Jr. became involved in an argument with a 16-year-old boy and others at the property. The juvenile alleged Brown got in his face, poked him in the eye and threw a bottle that came close enough for liquid inside to splash onto his clothing.
Other witnesses at the scene provided similar accounts and told investigators Brown was yelling and acting aggressively.
Deputies reported Brown appeared highly intoxicated when they made contact with him. Brown admitted throwing a bottle but denied striking anyone with it.
Brown was taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center. While being transported, he reportedly told deputies he had not intended to hurt anyone and later said he was having a heart attack. Emergency medical personnel evaluated him at the detention center and found no medical problems requiring treatment.
A preliminary breath test reportedly showed a blood-alcohol concentration of .109.
Brown was booked on charges of disorderly conduct and third-degree assault on a family or household member.
According to jail records, Brown was later released after posting a $780 bond.
