Man arrested for threatening to create ‘Murder scene that will be all over the news tonight’

A man is facing multiple charges for breaking into a home in Boone County and threatening to shoot everyone, including a pregnant woman and creating “A murder scene that will be all over the news tonight.” The man, 22-year-old Ryan Lynn Bommarito of Heber Springs, is facing six charges, four of them felonies.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office which was recently released, the pregnant victim reported Bommarito was in her residence, had a gun and was threatening to kill everyone in the home. She said she was hiding in the bathroom and then later told dispatch Bommarito, who appeared to be intoxicated, had passed out on the kitchen floor.
When law enforcement arrived, they found Bommarito on the floor and told him to sit up so they could talk, but he did not acknowledge them. They were able to roll him over and put him in handcuffs without incident and found a .380 handgun on his person which had one bullet in the chamber and five bullets in the magazine. The gun had been reported stolen in Cabot nearly two weeks earlier.

When deputies spoke with the victim and her boyfriend, they learned Bommarito had come in through the front door and told them he was going to kill another man when he showed up later that night. The man is the new boyfriend of the pregnant woman’s roommate whom Bommarito had a past relationship with. Bommarito said he was going to shoot the man in the face and create “A murder scene that will be all over the news tonight.”

Bommarito is facing felony charges of residential burglary, possession of firearms by certain persons (meaning he is a convicted felon), first degree terroristic threatening and theft by receiving. Misdemeanor charges include second degree assault and refusal to submit to arrest. He also faces a penalty enhancement for committing a felony crime with a firearm. He is being held in the Boone County Jail with bond set at $25,000.

PREVIOUS ARREST

Bommarito has one previous arrest in Arkansas which happened last year.

He was arrested on charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, trafficking a controlled substance – methamphetamine, driving while intoxicated, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and refusing to submit to a chemical test following a traffic stop in Heber Springs.

In a plea deal with the state, Bommarito pled guilty to a reduced charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and driving while intoxicated and the other charges were nolle prossed or dropped. He was given a 72-month suspended imposition of sentence.
