Both drivers injured when truck crashes into back of tractor in Ozark County

Both drivers were injured when a truck crashed into the back of a tractor Wednesday afternoon in Ozark County. Both men were taken to Ozarks Health in West Plains for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the truck had what the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) termed moderate injuries while the driver of the John Deere tractor sustained minor injuries.

The MSHP does not release the names of those involved in motor vehicle or boating accidents, but both men are 80-years-old and from Caulfield.

According to the crash report, the accident happened when the truck ran into the back of the tractor as both were northbound.

The accident happened on Missouri Route 101, about eight miles north of Bakersfield at 12:10 Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by fire fighters from Bakersfield, Caulfield and Tecumseh.
