Merchants Bank, IU Athletics to host summer autograph series beginning Friday in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — June 4, 2026

Merchants Bank and Indiana University Athletics will host a Summer Signing Series beginning Friday, June 5, giving fans a chance to meet select IU student-athletes at the bank’s new downtown Bloomington branch.

The first autograph session will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Merchants Bank, 101 W. Kirkwood Ave., Suite 030. Additional sessions are scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 12; Thursday, June 18; and Friday, June 26.

According to a post from IU Hoosiers, the first signing session will feature IU football players Isaiah Jones, Joe Brunner and Josh Burnham.

Two to four IU student-athletes are expected to appear each week, including members of the IU football team. The names of participating athletes will be announced a few days before each session on Merchants Bank and Indiana University Athletics social media channels.

Fans will be able to meet the athletes, get autographs and receive free T-shirts and other IU-branded giveaways, according to a news release.

The series is the first major community event tied to Merchants Bank’s $50 million sponsorship agreement with IU Athletics, announced last year. Merchants Bank opened its Bloomington branch in April.

“The Summer Signing Series marks the first of many exciting activities we plan to launch in partnership with IU Athletics,” Michael Dunlap, president and CEO of Merchants Bank, said in the release. “We are committed to delivering meaningful value to our community, and bringing fans together with their favorite student-athletes after a perfect season is an exciting way to kick things off.”

Luke Reiff, general manager of IU Sports Properties, said the series will help connect fans with athletes ahead of the fall sports season.

“This series is a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with our loyal fans and build excitement as we prepare for fall athletics,” Reiff said in the release.

Merchants Bank is headquartered in Indiana and provides banking and lending services, including residential mortgage banking, multifamily financing, business and agricultural lending, mortgage warehouse financing and traditional banking services.
