The Minnesota Frost announced on Wednesday that the team re-signed two of its star players — forwards Taylor Heise and Kelly Pannek.
Both got three-year contracts through the 2028-29 PWHL season. Pannek and Heise are two of the team’s three protected players as part of the PWHL’s expansion distribution process before the upcoming season.

Both are Minnesota natives and Olympians, having helped the team beat Canada to win gold at the 2026 Milan-Cortina games.

During Heise’s last season, she had a career-high 30 points on 13 goals and 17 assists in 30 games played.
Pannek ended the 2025-26 season with a single-season PWHL record of 33 points in 30 games.
Both women were finalists for the 2026 PWHL Forward of the Year.
