Positioned as an always‑on advertising operating system, Resonance OS is designed to sync ads and content with audience motivations to achieve what the company calls “resonance,” which it says has been associated with higher sales impact in independent industry and academic validations.
Research from the Wharton Neuroscience Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania found that ad‑context resonance, as defined by RMT, was 20 times more predictive of sales response than attention‑based measures, according to the company. In a separate analysis, the Advertising Research Foundation Cognition Council reported that RMT motivations explain 59% of sales, while the ARF’s Attention Validation Study found attention explains less than 1%.
“Every human action is fueled by deep‑seated motivations, the why behind every buy,” said Bill Harvey, RMTLabs chairman‑CEO and chief research officer. “If an ad doesn’t connect to what drives a person — not just emotionally but motivationally — the brain filters it out, even when attention is paid. With neuro‑motivational targeting, ad, content and audience motivations are in sync, delivering resonance and significant ROAS lift.”
Resonance OS uses multi‑modal neural AI to generate independent motivational profiles for audiences, content and creative. Those signals are aligned at activation to produce a single resonance score intended to predict likelihood of behavioral response rather than exposure quality alone.
RMTLabs said the system draws on a proprietary dataset indexing more than 10,000 TV programs and films against 265 neuroscience‑validated value signals. Thousands of additional hours of content are analyzed monthly using more than 13,000 descriptors organized into 15 motivational states.
Resonance scores can be activated across streaming, connected TV, linear TV, social platforms and large‑language‑model environments. High‑resonance matches are converted to automated deal IDs that integrate with existing DSPs and SSPs without new workflows or contracts, the company said.
For brands, RMTLabs frames Resonance OS as a planning and optimization layer grounded in behavioral drivers rather than proxy metrics. For agencies, it aims to activate a common motivational signal across creative, media and audience.
