Conan O’Brien Will Return to Host the Oscars for Third Consecutive Year

The 98th Academy Awards saw One Battle After Another win Best Picture and Michael B. Jordan received his first Academy Award as Best Actor for Sinners. The ceremony – which included the 7th tie in Oscars history – was not without controversies, such as when the KPop Demon Hunters composer was abruptly played off or the In Memoriam sequence omitting a slew of notable people from the broadcast version.

The Academy recently altered their rules ahead of next year’s Oscars, including updating their positions on AI and allowing multiple nominations for the same actor in the same category.

The 99th Oscars will air live on ABC and Hulu on Sunday, March 14, 2027, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
