18 New Jersey Lottery Winners Score $1 Million and $2 Million Powerball Prizes

Eighteen players in New Jersey won either $1 million or $2 million in the April 29 Powerball drawing. This shattered a state record. Four tickets won $2 million each with the Power Play option, while 14 tickets claimed $1 million.

The winning numbers were 03, 19, 35, 51, and 67. The Powerball was 15. The multiplier was 02.

Two tickets sold in Kansas and Indiana split the $143.4 million jackpot, which had been climbing for weeks after no one matched all six numbers in previous drawings. The Kansas ticket was sold in the south central part of the state, while the Indiana ticket was purchased at Al’s Supermarket in La Porte, according to North Jersey.

Officials said the high number of winners came from players picking numbers from a single vertical column on their play slips. This pattern exists across multiple state lottery play slips. The columns happened to match the winning numbers.

According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which runs Powerball, 91 players nationwide won $1 million or more in this drawing. In all of 2025, there were just 13 second-tier winners who matched five numbers in the Garden State.

The odds of matching 5 of 69 white balls are roughly 1 in 11 million. Winning the jackpot? That’s 1 in 292 million.

Bergen County had three winners. A player who bought a ticket in River Vale won $2 million. Players in Hasbrouck Heights and Teaneck each won $1 million.

Ocean and Monmouth Counties scored three $1 million wins combined. One ticket was sold at Toms River Exxon on Route 37 East in Toms River. Two more were sold at 7-Eleven on Route 35 in Holmdel and Quick Chek on Highway 33 in Neptune.

The other $2 million winners purchased tickets in Brigantine at Beach Tobacco Cigar and Convenience, in Somerdale at Walmart, and in Union City at Primo Deli and Grocery.

Additional $1 million winners bought tickets in Elizabeth, Linden, Millville, Newark, Old Bridge, Orange, Paterson, West Milford, and Woodbridge.

The Powerball was last won on April 6 when a player in Delaware won a $230.8 million jackpot. The jackpot reset to $20 million for the May 2 drawing.
