Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble to present free spring concert Monday, May 4, 2026
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble will present its spring concert, “Coming to America,” at 7 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Bloomington High School North, 3901 N. Kinser Pike.
The concert will be conducted by Stephen W. Pratt and will feature saxophonist Tom Walsh.
The program includes “Symphonic Concert March” by Giuseppe Bonelli, arranged by Falcone; “Gloriana, Frangipana” by David Dzubay; “Ballade” by Alfred Reed, featuring Walsh on saxophone; selections from “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett; “The Promise of Living” by Aaron Copland, arranged by Singleton; “West Side Story Selections” by Leonard Bernstein, arranged by Duthoit; “Adoration” by Florence Price, arranged by Cheldon Williams; and “Gershwin!” by George Gershwin, arranged by Barker.
Admission is free.
