This year, the Social Impact category also honors environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Entries close May 29, with winners announced Sept. 13 at RAI Amsterdam.
Chair of the Innovation Awards jury, Fergal Ringrose, said: “Across electronic media production globally we are seeing dramatic changes being driven by software-defined, virtualised, 5G-based and agentic AI advances among others. Intelligent new technologies are changing the way real-world innovation partnerships are delivering breakthrough workflows and consumer experiences in 2026. We look forward to highlighting the best of those pioneering projects that help advance the businesses involved and also the broader industry ecosystem.”
The awards celebrate completed collaborative projects overcoming challenges in creativity, operations, and commerce. They complement IBC programs such as the Accelerator Media Innovation Program and the Technical Papers Program.
Past winners include NHK Japan for coelacanth footage, Sky Group for MediaMesh, and the Mobile Justice app among others. More details are available here.
