Blue Angels To Perform July 4th Air Show for America250 at Port of NY-NJ

The Blue Angels will perform above the Port of New York and New Jersey on July 4th. This happens as America marks its 250th birthday. The demonstration squad will lead an aerial review during an international tall ship parade.

Performances run from July 3 through 8, according to Sail4th, the organizers behind the tall ship parade. The team flies in formation with U.S. and international aircraft, both fixed and rotary wing.

“On July 4th, the Blue Angels will lead a full aerial review as a massive formation of U.S. and international fixed and rotary wing aircraft parades over the International Parade of Sail,” Sail4th announced, per app.com.

The Blue Angels are a U.S. Navy and Marine Corps demonstration squad. Active-duty sailors and Marines constitute the team. Their mission centers on inspiring future military members while showcasing what the Armed Forces can do.

The 250th anniversary brings fireworks, an international tall ship parade, and jets screaming across the sky. Residents throughout the area can watch from the ground during this multi-day event.

The team returns to the state in 2027 for the Atlantic City air show, marking one of several appearances the demonstration squad has scheduled in the region over the next year.

Everything takes place in airspace above the Port of New York and New Jersey. The celebration spans July 3 through July 8. Independence Day hosts the main aerial performance.
