Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026: Everything Announced

As players beat each other senseless — uh, in-game, of course — during last weekend’s Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, Bandai Namco pulled back the cover on what Dragon Ball fans can expect from the franchise over the next 12 months or so, including confirmation of the final DLC pack for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and the formal unveiling Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

Missed it? No sweat. Here’s everything that was announced during the livestream…

Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol

If you’re looking for the details, I’m sorry to say there aren’t any — all we really got was the name! — but we’re told Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol will seemingly adapt the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc from the manga, and the Universe Survival arc from the anime (thanks, Polygon).

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus

The upcoming enhanced edition of the anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus got a new Super Gekitou teaser during the Dragon Ball Super Special Panel, giving fans an “early look at the upgraded visual presentation and the intense battle between Son Goku and the God of Destruction Beerus.” The trailer also teases another powerful threat on the horizon with the return of Frieza.

We were also treated to a panel boasting Masako Nozawa (voice of Son Goku), Koichi Yamadera (voice of Beerus), Jason Douglas (English dub voice of Beerus), and Akio Iyoku, executive producer of the Dragon Ball franchise,

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3

Bandai Namco had already teased that it was coming, but now it’s confirmed — Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X in 2027. Described as a “completely new Dragon Ball world by Akira Toriyama,” Xenoverse 3 “continues the series’ legacy with a completely new Dragon Ball experience, where players choose the hero they want to become in an unexplored Dragon Ball world brought to life by the original author.”

Dragon Ball Super Card Game: Fusion World and Game Game Masters

The Impact Beyond Dimensions booster pack is set to launch in July, and Story Booster 01 — which boasts 12 new cards across 85 card types — will release on August 21. The Chromatic Ascension booster pack will release towards the end of the year.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Super Limit Breaking Neo

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Super Limit-Breaking Neo DLC, which introduces new characters — Vegeta (GT) and Trunks (GT) are making their first appearance in the Budokai Tenkaichi series — stages, and an all-new game mode, will drop in Summer 2026. The update also includes a new costume and Super Attack for Goku (Z – End) and a new solo mode to allow players to select unlocked characters and receive EXP through “battle and events to empower their favorite characters and push them to even greater heights.”

The “major expansion” will reportedly “answer community expectations and elevate the experience to new heights” with “massive” new content additions marking “the most ambitious evolution of the game to date.” There’ll also be a free update introducing a new battle system, too.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Future Saga Chapter 4

Although it was only a couple of minutes long, we did get a peek at the final DLC pack for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 — Future Saga Chapter 4. It’s set to launch in Summer 2026 (or Q3, if you’re down under).

Future Saga Pack is “set to a dramatic close, reflecting on everything players have fought for, protecting history, shaping the future, and facing god-level power in a climactic final battle,” Bandai Namco teased.

Interestingly, we also learned that a number of Dragon Ball-flavored mobile games like Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, Dragon Ball Legends, and Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra will each get their own collab with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as we mark the game’s final update, including hero skins and emotes based on Xenoverse 2 will be added to the game. Squadra will also host its own world championship tourney later this year, with winners from each server across the world invited to Japan to compete.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

While there was no mention of Dragon Ball FighterZ during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 itself, publisher Bandai Namco did separately confirm that we’ll get the next DLC character, Goku (SS4, DAIMA), for the fighting game on April 22. Players will be able to “deflect every blow and unleash a relentless offense with Wild Dash, a move that can further branch into four other techniques, including Double Combination, Raging Strike, Power Swing and Quick Move.”
