GO Shorts uses AI to turn an operator’s existing content library into personalized, short-form mobile feeds without new production workflows or infrastructure changes. The module surfaces clips based on viewing behavior, supports third-party content and lets users move from short to long-form with a tap. A proof of concept can be deployed in days, the company said.
For operators pursuing a challenger brand strategy — such as launching a separate Gen Z-focused app alongside a flagship service — GO Shorts provides the content engine and engagement layer on shared infrastructure to reduce complexity and costs.
“The streamers who win with Gen Z won’t be the ones who simply mimic the lean-back experience or build new platforms from scratch,” said Dr. Tzvi Gerstl, EVP, media technology, Synamedia. “They’ll be the ones who make what they already have feel native to these audiences. GO Shorts does that in a timeframe that makes experimentation practical.”
Gerstl cited Omdia analysis of U.S. mobile viewing showing younger, digital-native subscribers favor phone-based, scroll-first experiences and spend more time on micro-drama platforms than on major streamers, challenging conventional responses such as full pivots, marginal feature add-ons or building separate platforms.
Synamedia Go is a modular SaaS OTT platform with layered modules — GO Core, GO Plus, GO Smart and GO Shorts — that lets operators add AI-powered capabilities, expand monetization and deepen engagement. GO Core provides content bundling and analytics; GO Plus adds personalization and multi-OpCo support; GO Smart adds AI-driven enrichment, personalization and conversational search; and GO Shorts adds short-form, mobile-first experiences with handoff to long-form viewing.
Synamedia said Go is deployed with Mileto in Brazil, MTN across Africa and Partner Communications in Israel. The company will demo GO Shorts at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, in Booth W2851.
