Pulling for Survivors tractor pull returns during Alabama Strawberry Festival – April 25

CULLMAN, Ala. – The annual Pulling for Survivors tractor pull will return Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. as part of the Alabama Strawberry Festival. Hosted in partnership with Cullman Fire Rescue, Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism and TriGreen Equipment, which will be providing the John Deere tractor, the event will benefit The Willow Path, a United Way partner agency serving as Cullman County’s domestic violence resource center. 

The Willow Path (formerly known as Victim Services of Cullman) provides a large range of services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, including counseling, court advocacy, outreach programs and support for both parents and children. Funds raised during the event will directly support these ongoing services. 

“At our core, we exist to walk alongside survivors as they rebuild their lives with strength, dignity, and hope,” said Jessica Atchley, executive director of The Willow Path. “Every dollar raised stays local. It goes toward creating safer homes, stronger families and a community where violence is no longer tolerated or ignored.” 

Teams of 10, made up of any combination of friends, sports teams, local businesses, families and community groups, can register. Teams can register for $250 and are encouraged to raise additional donations as part of their participation. Individuals can also sign up for $25, and community members may support the event by donating directly to The Willow Path. 

Awards will be given for both the fastest pull and the highest amount of funds raised by teams and individuals. 

“We want this event to be more than just a fun day; we want it to be a moment of connection and awareness,” Atchley shared. “The tractor pull is about strength, teamwork and pulling together and that’s exactly what it takes to support survivors and create change in a community.” 

She added, “This event is a reminder that when a community comes together, we can carry heavy things, and no one has to do it alone.”
