
State Police are searching for someone who fell into the Merrimack River in Hooksett on Saturday evening.
The individual, whose identity has not been released, fell from the railroad track bridge that crosses over the river alongside Main Street, according to a press release.
Response teams used boats and drones with thermal imaging capabilities to search the river, which flows southbound toward Manchester. After several hours of searching, rescue teams paused overnight and were expected to resume in daylight.
Members of the Hooksett Police Department, Hooksett Fire-Rescue Department and Hopkinton Police Department, as well as the New Hampshire State Police and New Hampshire Fish and Game, are conducting the search.
