The expansion allows video service providers to unify data from both encoding and playback to detect and resolve issues across the live streaming pipeline. The system is designed for real-time monitoring of high-value events such as sports and FAST channels.
Users can analyze how encoding profiles impact playback quality — including buffering, startup and join times — to optimize performance. The solution also integrates with Bitmovin’s Stream Lab to test live encoding performance on smart TVs and CTV devices.
“For true observability in live streaming, providers need granular, real-time data across the entire infrastructure, especially live encoding,” Alex Zambelli, Bitmovin encoding product management director, said. “By expanding our live encoding and observability solutions, Bitmovin now provides unified visibility across the full live streaming workflow.”
Bitmovin will demonstrate the new capability at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, in Booth W3323.
