NAB Show: Telos Alliance, Syndicate Of Sounds Bringing Immersive Audio

Telos Alliance and Syndicate of Sounds are heading to the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, to give streamers and broadcasters easy-to-use tools that deliver rich immersive audio to music listeners in nearly any environment.

Syndicate of Sounds offers two tools that turn casual listening into an enveloping “you’ve gotta hear this!” experience, the companies say:

  • Déjà Vu, designed for use in open-room environments ranging from living rooms to concert halls, creates discrete 5.1 surround sound from any stereo source through linear, algorithmic processing. It’s available as a VST, AU, and AAX plugin, making it compatible with nearly every major broadcast and production platform, playout software, streaming encoder, and DAW. It’s also an option in select Telos Alliance Z/IPStream R/20 streaming encoder hardware and Z/IPStream X/20 streaming software.
  • Déjà Phonic technology works with standard consumer headphones, eliminating the “trapped in your head” sensation for headphone listeners by recreating natural room acoustics and spatial positioning. Like Déjà Vu, it is available to both audio professionals and consumers as standalone software or as a VST, AU, and AAX workstation plugin.

“This isn’t about gimmicks,” says Frank Frank Foti, Omnia Audio founder and Telos Alliance executive chairman. “It’s about connection. When audio wraps around you instead of requiring you to sit between two speakers, it feels different. It connects listeners emotionally to the musicians by giving you that ‘Oh, wow, I’m in the studio’ feeling. Music that hits you viscerally makes you want to stay for more. If you’re curating music streams, this is the kind of response you want to lock in listeners – and Déjà Vu and Déjà Phonic help you get it!”

NAB attendees can experience Déjà Vu and Déjà Phonic audio from Syndicate of Sounds in dedicated listening environments designed to demonstrate how familiar stereo tracks are transformed into immersive 3D presentations, instantly and convincingly.
