
Four sections split the state by location: North I, North II, Central, and South. Teams sort into Group 1 through Group 4 based on how many students attend. Non-public schools follow different rules, with boys and girls separated into A and B categories.
According to NJ.com, North II Group 4 brings together 21 programs. Barringer, Bayonne, Bridgewater-Raritan, Columbia, Dickinson, East Side, Elizabeth, Ferris, Irvington, J.P. Stevens, Kearny, Linden, North Star Academy, Phillipsburg, Plainfield, Ridge, Scotch Plains-Fanwood, Union, Watchung Hills, Westfield, and Woodbridge will face off in this grouping. Group 3 holds 19 squads, with Carteret, Central, Chatham, Colonia, and Cranford among them.
Twenty teams populate North I Group 4. Belleville competes alongside Bergen Tech, Bloomfield, Clifton, East Orange Campus, Eastside, Fair Lawn, Hackensack, Livingston, Memorial, Montclair, Morristown, Mount Olive, North Bergen, Paterson Kennedy, Passaic, Passaic Tech, Ridgewood, Union City, and West Orange.
Central Group 4 packs in 21 schools. East Brunswick, Edison, Franklin, Freehold Township, Hightstown, Hillsborough, Hunterdon Central, Jackson, Manalapan, Marlboro, Monroe, Montgomery, New Brunswick, North Brunswick, Old Bridge, Perth Amboy, Princeton, Sayreville, South Brunswick, Trenton Central, and West Windsor-Plainsboro South make up this section.
South Group 4 lists 20 contenders: Atlantic City, Atlantic Tech, Bridgeton, Central Regional, Cherokee, Cherry Hill East, Eastern, Egg Harbor Township, Howell, Kingsway, Lenape, Millville, Pennsauken, Rancocas Valley, Southern, Toms River North, Vineland, Washington Township, and Williamstown.
Boys Non-Public A draws 25 participants. Bergen Catholic, Christian Brothers Academy, DePaul Catholic, Delbarton, Don Bosco, St. Peter’s Prep, and Seton Hall lead the pack. Girls Non-Public A houses 28 schools, with Immaculate Heart, Kent Place, Mount St. Dominic, and Union Catholic competing.
