HoYoverse's Cozy Sim Petit Planet Gets Closed Beta Testing This Month
Petit Planet, the cozy space sim from the creators of Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero, doesn’t have an official release date, but at least it has a new closed beta on April 21 for PC, iOS, and Android.
The adorably named Stardrift Test will give players the chance to interact with new cute and cuddly Neighbors, try out more Starsea Voyage explorations and add new activities to the games social hub, the Galactic Bazaar. Just don’t get too attached to anything during the test, data will be wiped at the end.
Petit Planet is Hoyoverse’s take on the cozy sim genre – we dubbed it “Animal Crossing Meets The Little Prince” – gives you your very own planet to play with. There’s farming, fishing, beach combing, cooking, NPC residents to interact with, random Planettes to explore for resources or to find new friends and mini-games. It ticks all the boxes you want from cozy gaming, and all the distinctive anime style that HoyoVerse fans will recognize.
When it releases the game will be free-to-play and cross-platform, and if Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero are any indication, will get plenty of updates and additions once it’s live.
