The new transmitter builds on the original Astral Mini with a familiar ergonomic form factor while adding longer battery life, extended tuning flexibility and IP67 water resistance.
The Mini Plus features the XL-B14500 rechargeable cell, providing more than eight hours of battery life for long production days or live events. The transmitter can also be topped off via USB-C for additional power flexibility.
In addition to extended battery performance, the Astral Mini Plus uses Sound Devices’ SpectraBand extended 169-1525 MHz tuning range. This provides RF control to find clean, usable and legal frequency bandwidth anywhere in the world, regardless of local spectrum regulations.
Like all Sound Devices Astral Wireless products, the Mini Plus uses GainForward technology, which enables simplified gain-staging at the mixer without having to touch the transmitter. The device also includes an ePaper display and new usability features designed to reduce setup times and allow for faster on-the-fly adjustments.
The Astral Mini Plus is rated IP67 for water resistance, making it resistant to sweat, humidity and other sources of moisture.
