The Pokémon 30th Anniversary tour is the gift that keeps on giving. Following February’s blowout celebrations – which saw the debut of the colossal 6,838-piece LEGO Kanto starter set, those viral cutesy Loungefly accessories, and even a high-end GRIND coffee line – The Pokémon Company is proving the party is just getting started.
PUMA is the latest heavyweight to join the rotation. Dropping today, April 2, 2026, the PUMA x Pokémon “Sun and Moonlight” collection is a massive 51-piece capsule collection, perfect for the hoopsters among us. If you spent any time in Nimbasa City’s Big Stadium, you know the look.
If you’re looking to cop this gear before it speeds out of stock (and there’s already plenty that’s now unavailable!), you’ll need to move quicker than a Regieleki. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest PUMA x Pokémon collaboration.
All the power of the Pokémon world is channelled into this latest drop, with Pokémon designs taking adults and kids alike from day to night. It spotlights Umbreon and Espeon, perfect timing for anyone nostalgic for the Orre region, with Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness having just joined Nintendo Switch Online last month.
The Umbreon Fade Nitros are the undisputed MVPs of the footwear line. These black sneakers are accented with energizing yellow hits and – my personal favorite detail – the sparkly gold flecks in the sole that mimic Umbreon’s glowing rings. PUMA has crafted distinct daytime and nighttime colorways for both Espeon and Umbreon, both with custom hangtags, and subtle but expressive Pokémon detailing.
If you’re more into the Ace Trainer aesthetic, the Espeon PUMATECH-X (Alpine Snow) Track Jacket is another standout piece in the collection. This outerwear has minimalist psychic-type motifs running down the sides, and a clean, technical fit. It’s the kind of high-performance gear you’d expect to see a Trainer rocking at the end of Victory Road.
But it’s not just these iconic Gen 2 Eeveelutions that are getting the love. Squirtle, Mew, Mewtwo and Mimikyu are all in the collection. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Pokémon celebration without the ultimate mascot – the lovable Pikachu, who’s stunting with two new sneaker designs and a very bright yellow hoodie with a bold, black silhouette on the back.
Mimikyu fans get a gorgeous Inverse sneaker in Alpine Snow, while Mewtwo receives a spacey basketball jersey and shorts set. It’s a bold fashion choice – striking purple and black against a galaxy background – but it weirdly works.
The rest of the collection has everything from relaxed everyday silhouettes like the T-shirt, hoodie, and shorts, all which have clean graphic treatments and minimalist Pokémon motifs created exclusively for the collection. Accessories like the Mew cap and cross body bags round out the PUMA offering, extending the theme through functional pieces designed for Trainers of all ages. What else could you want as you step off on your big Pokémon adventure?
What really elevates this collaboration is how PUMA has balanced the “lifestyle first” approach. A lot of gaming merchandise can feel like a basic “logo slap,” but this collection is a thoughtful blend of sport-driven details and subtle, but stylish, Pokémon motifs.
Given how quickly the rest of the Pokémon 30th anniversary collaborations sold out, it’s best to act sooner rather than later and pick anything you like up at PUMA.com, flagship stores, and selected retailers now! These aren’t likely to get a restock, so if you needed an excuse to update your wardrobe for the Spring, there you have it.
