Popular chicken restaurant now coming to Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — There will soon be a new place in town to buy craveable chicken-finger meals.

The popular chicken restaurant Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will open a location in Idaho Falls at 2280 South 25th East, according to city officials. It’s south of the mall, across from the Target, and right by where Grocery Outlet used to be.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is known for its signature made-to-order chicken-finger meals, featuring marinated chicken prepared fresh for every order, along with house-made sides and Cane’s Sauce.

Crews have been seen at the location this week using bulldozers, and a giant fence surrounds the property. The space was previously used by food trucks to gather and sell meals and drinks.

A Raising Cane’s representative told EastIdahoNews.com on Monday that they aim to open later in the fall if all construction goes according to plan. There is no set opening date yet.

Wade Sanner, community development services director in Idaho Falls, said there is an approved site plan with the city. There will be a 2,821-square-foot building with a drive-thru. He said the groundbreaking happened a few weeks ago.

“We are excited to welcome them to the city,” Sanner said in an email to EastIdahoNews.com.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers just opened its fourth location in the state of Idaho in Chubbuck on Tuesday. It drew a crowd of about 200 people, with giveaways including entries for a “Lucky 20” drawing that awarded 20 customers free Cane’s chicken for a year.

According to Raising Cane’s owner and founder, Todd Graves, the first Idaho restaurant opened in Meridian last year, followed by Twin Falls in January and Coeur d’Alene.
