AMHERST — Easter egg hunts will be taking place in Amherst and Hadley on Saturday.
At Mill River Recreation Area, 95 Montague Road, Amherst, children of all ages are invited to an egg hunt that will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants should bring their own baskets.
The second annual event is put on by Amherst Recreation, Cherry Hill Golf Course and the University of Massachusetts’ Lambda Sigma Upsilon’s Kavari Chapter, as part of its National Upsilon Day of Service.
At Wesley United Methodist Church, 98 North Maple St., Hadley, the third annual community Easter egg hunt is scheduled to begin around 10 a.m. Previous events have had around 100 participants searching for the 1,000 stuffed eggs.
The egg hunt will feature live animals, music, bubbles and a balloon artist creating balloon sculptures. Participants are being encouraged to bring a donation for the Amherst Survival Center.
