The compact mixing surface is designed for situations where a hardware console is preferred but space is limited, such as newsrooms, smaller studios, sports venues and remote broadcasts. The main Pulsar surface has eight motorized faders and a touchscreen-based monitor section. The console can be expanded to 16 faders with an optional eight-channel expansion unit.
For remote control, the optional browser-based HTML5 Pulsar Soft feature allows control of Pulsar consoles from any computer or tablet and includes Pulsar Cast for remote audio monitoring.
The console is powered by the Axia StudioCore integrated console engine, which combines the power supply, a dedicated five-port AoIP network switch, an array of audio I/O and the Pulsar mixing engine into a single 2RU rack-mounted package. The mixing engine uses Axia GEN2 technology, first introduced in Quasar Engine 4.0, to deliver performance similar to the flagship Quasar XR and SR models.
“In designing Axia Pulsar, we listened to feedback from clients who wanted a compact console for smaller applications that was easy to install and configure,” Luca La Rosa, Telos Alliance senior project manager, said Tuesday. “Pulsar consistently delivers big console features and performance in a package perfectly sized for smaller spaces.”
Cam Eicher, Telos Alliance SVP of audio production, noted that while many customers are drawn to virtualized solutions, there is still demand for a compact hardware mixer.
“Pulsar delivers exactly that, with the added benefit of working seamlessly as part of a larger Livewire+ AES67 ecosystem with products like Axia Quasar XR and SR consoles, Telos VX broadcast phone systems and the Telos Infinity IP intercom platform,” Eicher said.
Pulsar will be featured at the Telos Alliance Booth C1819 and will be available for sale in Q4 2026.
