Solid State Logic is expanding its virtualized System T platform at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, in Booth C6907, offering upgrades that allow users to run multiple software-based audio engines on a single hardware server.

The move toward software-based processing is a primary focus for the company, a provider of audio consoles and processing tools. Its VTE1 virtual DSP engine, which supports up to 256 processing paths including immersive audio, can now be used for public and private cloud operations or directly on a standard server.

The VTE1 software can be used for both public and private cloud or directly on a COTS server. SSL is also introducing a smaller DSP package with 140 paths, designed for smaller systems that require broadcast-grade audio processing. This package includes an integrated effects rack, automix and support for 5.1 and immersive audio.

The company is also introducing short-term, flexible licenses alongside the new DSP package. This gives broadcasters the freedom to scale production resources precisely when they need them, without long-term commitments or significant upfront investment.

The platform now includes expanded native connectivity with support for NDI and Dante. Users can route NDI sources directly through the user interface to channel inputs or console destinations. All virtual System T DSP engines can be coupled to any existing System T control surface.

SSL will also debut the TCA Flypack Tour package, a portable system featuring 16 faders, integrated fader tile and onboard I/O designed for broadcast and live production. The unit features a custom mount for a Tempest Control App PC and touchscreen, with integrated wiring for setup using Ethercon or Opticon connections.

Additionally, the company will preview System T version 4.3 software, which features SolidPitch automatic tuning, permanent path links, additional send buses and an increased number of scenes, up to 500 per show file.
