NAB Show: Globecast Content Exchange To Anchor Media Operations Showcase

Globecast is shifting its focus from signal transport to end-to-end media operations at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22, in Booth W3335, highlighting a hybrid service model spanning satellite, IP, fiber and cloud.

The company, a provider of broadcast, media and entertainment managed services, aims to simplify complex workflows through its “anti-complexity” approach. This model provides the orchestration needed to make a broadcaster’s existing systems work together without requiring proprietary ecosystems.

At the center of the showcase is the Globecast Content Exchange, an intelligent media orchestration layer. The service acts as a transition bridge for delivery mechanisms under consideration for the C-Band replacement in North America, unifying satellite, fiber and IP routing. It includes real-time monitoring and automated provisioning for live feeds while integrating with third-party media asset management (MAM) systems.

Globecast will also spotlight its new facility in Westlake Village, Calif. The hub replaces hardware-intensive legacy infrastructure with virtualized, cloud-based environments optimized for video signal management and live sports integration.

“With Globecast Reimagined, we are moving beyond traditional signal transport to deliver fully managed, end-to-end media operations,” Jean-Christophe Perier, Globecast CMO, said. “Our customers are navigating unprecedented complexity. Rather than ripping and replacing their infrastructure, we combine hybrid connectivity, cloud integration and operational expertise to maximize the potential of their existing systems.”

The managed media services model includes 24/7 Media Services Centers and outcome-based SLAs focused on uptime and speed to market for live events, remote production (REMI), cloud playout and large-scale OTT delivery.
