New PS5 Price Hikes Are Making These Discounted Fortnite Bundles Look Like a Surprisingly Good Deal

So those new PS5 price hikes suck. Yet, it does also mean there is a small window available for those who want to avoid the incoming hikes. It might feel like an angry purchase, as you are effectively giving Sony your money because they raised prices.

Let me break this down for you. The best possible deal on a PS5 right now is the limited edition Fortnite bundles that popped up at the end of last year. They are priced at $100 under the current MSRP for the disc and digital editions ($549/$499).

But, and that’s a big but, compared to the new $649/$599 pricing that hits PS5 consoles in a matter of days, if you apply some gamer math, you’re more or less looking at a $200 saving overall.

So for the Fortnite Bundle, you can pay either $449 for the disc edition or $399 for the digital. It was a reasonable enough deal over Black Friday last year, but now it seems like an absolute bargain all things considered. Note that other people are already catching on to this as well, and we’re already seeing these bundles sell out fast at online retailers.

Picking up a PS5 before the price hikes take place would already have been a relatively smart move, especially if you were already considering it. But, this bundle being up for grabs soon just makes it that little bit more enticing. I wouldn’t blame you for rushing to pick up a PlayStation Portal or PS5 Pro at MSRP right now either.

If you already own a PS5, you’re laughing. You probably paid a rock bottom price over the past six or so years compared to what’s coming, and can just chillax until the PS6 comes in another attempt to lay siege to our bank accounts. If you’re looking to pick one up this year, possibly to play GTA 6, I’d get on it ASAP, it’s about to become a whole lot more expensive.
