The software allows users to configure and manage panels visually without needing physical devices during the setup process. Through a drag-and-drop interface, operators can assign actions such as endpoint switching, connect/disconnect commands and multi-page navigation.
At launch, the tool supports Sony MKS-R4020 and Elgato StreamDeck Studio control panels.
Because the system logic resides within the VideoIPath software rather than the panel hardware, users can create layouts offline and replicate them across multiple locations. This configuration allows for advanced functionality beyond what standalone hardware typically supports and enables field panels to be replaced without re-engineering.
“The new Panel Builder represents a major step forward in making broadcast control more intuitive, powerful and flexible,” Arne-Johan Martinsen, Nevion VideoIPath product director, said. “This is all part of our commitment to continuously evolve VideoIPath to meet the needs of modern IP-based production.”
The latest software release also includes a tag dictionary for structured labels and new integrations with Riedel intercom, Arista MCS and Sony CNA-2 camera control.
VideoIPath will be demonstrated at the Sony booth (C8401) during the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 18-22.
