Hades 2 Finally Launches on Xbox Next Month, Including Via Game Pass

The brilliant Hades 2 is finally coming to Xbox next month, and will be available from launch via Xbox Game Pass.

Supergiant’s critically-acclaimed sequel will arrive on April 14 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud, as announced during Microsoft’s Xbox Partner Preview broadcast today.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will gain access to the game on the same date, and the title will also support Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning you can continue your progress across platforms.

Hades 2’s launch on Xbox has been a long time coming, as it first arrived for PC in early access back in May 2024. Following the launch of several major updates, the game released fully last September, at which point it also arrived for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as a console exclusive.

If you liked the original Hades — well, you’ve probably played Hades 2 already by now. But if you haven’t, its acclaimed roguelite gameplay, great storytelling and engaging dungeon-crawler elements make for an engrossing experience. This sequel sees you battle beyond the Underworld to vanquish the Titan of Time as the Princess of the Dead, with the full might of Olympus at your call.

“Hades 2’s art is breathtaking, its characters are captivating, the combat is fast, fun, endlessly varied, and tactical, and the music is spectacular,” we wrote in IGN’s Hades 2 review, which returned a rare 10/10 score.
