Amazon’s ‘3 for 2’ 4K-Blu-ray Deal Is Back and Bigger Than Ever

‘Tis the season for a somewhat random Amazon Spring Sale. While not too surprising, I was still excited to discover that the sale was enough reason for Amazon to bring back its classic ‘3 for 2’ deal on physical media. Like previous iterations, the sale basically includes a massive list of random items. For every three items you add to your cart from the list, you get one for free. Magical!

The real highlight here for physical media collectors is the actually absurd amount of 4Ks and Blu-rays. I’ve pulled out some movie highlights from the sale below, but keep in mind you can also mix and match your movies with other books and vinyl included in the deal.

4K Blu-rays: Buy 2, Get 1 Free Sale

If you’ve been on the Project Hail Mary wave, you might be interested in picking up a physical copy of Ridley Scott’s adaptation of Andy Weir’s previous work, The Martian.

There’s a decent spread from Denis Villeneuve, currently top of mind after the Dune 3 trailer, including my personal favorite, Sicario, as well as Arrival. You’ll also find sci-fi classics like Ghost in the Shell and The Fifth Element.

From what I can tell, the list includes all things Spider-Man, from the Sam Raimi trilogy to the animated Spider-Verse movies (and all of the MCU in-between). This includes limited edition reprints of both Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: No Way Home, making it a great opportunity to build up your collection before Brand New Day.

The sale includes a mix of standard DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4Ks that aren’t easy to sort through, so make sure to double check you’re getting the best vesion for your set-up. Otherwise, the list truly goes on and on, so I highly recommend some scrolling time.

Box Sets and Collections

If you’re looking for some particularly solid bang for your buck, the sale happens to include box sets from the biggest movie franchises, getting you a full movie marathon in a single go. Highlights here include The Lord of the Rings, which apparently is getting a new movie written by Stephen Colbert, The Matrix, and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. There’s also a 4-movie box set of The Hunger Games, which is soon to get a new instalment with Sunrise on the Reaping.

As mentioned, Amazon is running a full Spring Sale for the next week. This deal is technically separate from that sale, and there’s not a clear end date, so I’d recommend acting sooner rather than later. Gruv also has a ‘3 for $30’ 4K sale running right now, so if you’re looking for something in particular to add to your shelf, that’s worth checking out as well.
